Solving the Local News Crisis, a two-day summit on April 18 and 19 about the local news crisis in and around Maryland.
You will learn the results of a new study, which includes a content analysis of every news outlet in Maryland and a survey of news leaders. You will also be able to participate in a candid conversation among local journalists about their needs and challenges, and hear a keynote address about the state of local news.
This free event is presented by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, The Baltimore Banner and the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism and Maryland Democracy Initiative. Registration is required to attend.
