Sam Novey

Sam Novey, a Baltimore-based civic leader who joined CDCE as a consulting community scholar in 2021, is now the Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement's (CDCE) Chief Strategist. 

Sam brings to this position an extensive track record of convening scholars, philanthropic partners, and community-based organizations at the local and national levels to develop new research and translate that research into useful working knowledge for community-based organizations. With Sam as Chief Strategist, this network will become available to all CDCE-affiliated faculty, students, and fellows.
